Mission

The BCCG will create a welcoming environment where diverse Bells Corners neighbours can connect, collaborate and grow healthy, organic food for their families.

Monthly meet-ups!

Calling all green thumbs and folks looking to meet their neighbours! The BCCG will host regular meetings to connect like-minded residents interested in growing food. The meetings will be an opportunity for BCCG executives to update members on the latest community garden projects as well as share future plans. In addition, occasionally, there will be an invited green expert presenting on a timely subject of interest to the gardening community in Bells Corners. Please stay tuned for our first BCCG meeting and launch event. We look forward to meeting you!

Volunteer leaders wanted!

Leaders wanted: To help us fulfil our call to action, “Growing good food. Growing community!” The BCCG is now welcoming volunteers to join our leadership team as well as those wanting to share their talents sporadically. We are committed bunch of neighbours looking to build on all the wonderful things already happening in Bells Corners. If you’re interested in giving back to your community, we would love to hear from you.

Have your say!

According to data from the City of Ottawa, gardening is a big deal in Bells Corners! The numbers from Environics Analytics show that 72.5% of residents living in Lynwood and 66.4% of those in Westcliffe Estates are interested in gardening. That could be good news for a community garden, right? So we need to hear from you. We need to know how many Bells Corners residents are interested in participating in a community garden. Stay tuned for a quick survey.
